ASN & IPv6

An AS number identifies your network on the Internet and lets you announce your own IP addresses over BGP. It is what you need if you want to be independent from your host: keeping your addresses while changing operator, being multi-operator, or peering directly. If you only want to host services, you do not need one — your host's addresses are enough.

The prices are shown on this page, both for the ASN on its own and for the ASN together with an IPv6 /44 prefix. The point to note: IPv4 addresses are not provided in the ASN-only offer, they are leased separately.

We commit to our part: once your file is complete, we process it and submit it to the RIPE within fifteen working days. The RIPE's own turnaround does not depend on us, so we do not guarantee it contractually. We are a LIR, which lets us file your request, but we cannot create resources the registry no longer has.

IPv4 is exhausted at the RIPE and the waiting list for new LIRs is very long; we can still supply you with addresses. We lease IPv4 space for a monthly fee, alongside your ASN. Tell us how much you need and we will come back with a proposal.

Through a BGP session with us, on a 1, 10 or 100 Gbps port, which makes you visible from our exchange points. The smallest announceable prefix is a /24 in IPv4 and a /48 in IPv6: below that, the announcement is filtered everywhere on the public Internet — it is not a Dyjix rule. We can also provide you with a router VM if you have no equipment to install, and anti-DDoS is available as an option.
